Pickleball Schools & GPF Partnership

Pickleball Schools & the Global Pickleball Federation partnering to drive grassroots adopt of the sport globally.

Pickleball Schools is partnered with The Global Pickleball Federation (GPF) to drive grassroots adoption of the schools in communities internationally. The Federation is the premier international governing body for pickleball, fostering a unified and high-standard governance for the sport globally. Their mission encompasses promoting, leading, and supporting the growth and development of pickleball for all ages and skill levels, with a vision of making pickleball a world-class sport.

The GPF seeks collaboration with continental and national federations to increase the number of pickleball players, enhance diversity within the sport, and achieve notable successes on international platforms. One of their ambitious goals is to have pickleball included in the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane, Australia.

The GPF emphasizes values such as global perspective in governance, inclusivity, innovation, and the integrity and safety of the sport. These core values guide the Federation in its efforts to make pickleball accessible and enjoyable for a wide audience, promoting fairness and community within the sport.

The GPF announced its official launch as the unifying body for pickleball globally, aiming to represent approximately 95% of pickleball members worldwide. This initiative is in collaboration with continental federations, member countries, and other partners to advance pickleball on a global scale.

Member countries of the GPF are required to be part of their GPF-affiliated Continental Federation. The Federation currently includes countries from the Confederation of African Pickleball, the Pickleball Federation of the Americas, the Asian Pickleball Association, and the Oceania Pickleball Association, covering a broad and diverse geographical area.

The GPF has laid out several development goals focusing on international recognition, member country support, and sport integrity. These include gaining recognition from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), providing resources and programs to member countries, ensuring access to equipment, establishing official rules and officiating standards, developing an ambassador network, and organizing international tournaments. The Federation is committed to maintaining the sport's integrity through fair play and safety standards.
